UIU community provides Giving Day support

The Upper Iowa University community once again showered the University with its support during the recent UIU Giving Day celebration as more than 575 donors contributed approximately $88,000 as part of the annual event. As part of this year’s Valentine’s theme, couples who each graduated from UIU were asked to share their love for UIU through the Couples Giving Day challenge.  As part of the challenge, participants were asked to share a current photo of them together as well as their contribution during Giving Day.  One hundred twelve couples, representing 224 Upper Iowa University degrees, combined to raise over $17,000.

“We are always greatly appreciative of the overwhelming support shown by our alumni, faculty, staff, students, and other friends and family of the University, not only during Giving Day but throughout each year,” said Andrew Wenthe, UIU vice-president of external affairs. “The tradition of support by the Peacock family is simply amazing.”
