We can all find comfort in that the Peacock family has historically risen to challenges and its response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is no different. For this reason, there is no better time for us to showcase some of the faces of UIU. The following students/alumni, who were and/or continue to serve their communities or place of employment during the pandemic, were among those who earlier provided the UIU Alumni Office with their photos and information for submission to The Bridge Online.

Sheila Crook-Lockwood, MSN-Ed, RN, CNE
The UIU associate professor of nursing was one of the Iowa Department of Public Health’s Iowa Statewide Emergency Registry of Volunteers (right), who tested meat plant employees for COVID-19 at the West Liberty Foods plant in West Liberty, Iowa, in May. The health professionals conducted serology and nasal swab testing at the site.

Employed with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. in Fairfield, Iowa. Considered an essential business, 95 percent of the firm worked from home. While it’s been a huge adjustment, Jodi is proud to see the firm overcome its challenges and continue to serve their advisors and clients during the pandemic.
