2018 Cedar Valley Woman-Owned Business of the Year

Scratch Cupcakery has been named the Cedar Valley Woman-Owned Business of the Year. Owner Natalie Brown graduated from UIU’s online program in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in public administration. She opened Scratch in her hometown of Cedar Falls, Iowa, in June 2010. Brown has since opened other locations in Waterloo, West Des Moines and Coralville. Her focus on philanthropy while providing jobs in the Cedar Valley previously earned the successful business owner a spot on that area’s ‘20 Under 40’ list for 2012.
