It’s a Peacock Kid’s Day at the Fair

The Upper Iowa University-sponsored Kid’s Day at the Fayette County Fair has nearly arrived. The Friday, July 23, schedule begins with complimentary coffee and donuts from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
The entire Peacock family will have a chance to dunk UIU President William R. Duffy from 11 a.m.-noon in the dunk tank, provided by the West Union Boy Scouts. Pete the Peacock will also be available for pictures from 11-11:30 a.m. and from 3-3:30 p.m.
From 1-4 pm., the Kids Day games and activities will include a Football Toss, Bags Challenge, Connect 4, Ring Toss, Putting Challenge, Ladder Golf, Grand Prize Challenge, Coloring Pages and Tattoos. The day’s activities conclude with a Snack Barn coupon giveaway from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
All activities will be held near the bandstand and commercial building of the fairgrounds. UIU will also toss out T-shirts at the Demolition Derby, which begins at 7 p.m. Friday.
Visitors who fill out a UIU inquiry card at UIU’s Kids Day booth (or UIU’s commercial building fair booth on Thursday and Saturday) will be entered into a drawing for one of two free AfterShokz headphones.
Faculty, staff, students and alumni, are encouraged to submit photos of themselves or their families participating in fair activities or events at uiu.edu/fcf.
