UIU pays tribute to the suffragists

As part of Women’s History Month, Upper Iowa University faculty, students and staff were invited to wear the colors of the Suffragist movement: white, purple and gold Wednesday, March 3. Purple stands for loyalty, white for purity and gold for hope. Today, white is continued to be worn to pay tribute to the suffragists and the continued fight for women’s rights. Some of today’s participants at Fayette Campus are pictured above. For additional information about the month’s activities and history of some our peacock alumnae, visit the 2021 Women’s History Month page at uiu.edu or by clicking here.
