Upper Iowa University is proud to commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 18. This year, in lieu of classes, UIU will have a full day of programming that will include several keynote speakers – alumni, faculty, artists, and community leaders – who embody King’s contemporary legacy. All Upper Iowa students, faculty, and staff can join in the meaningful observance of MLK Day as events will be held 100% virtually from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST with entertainment from 7-8 p.m. live on Fayette Campus and via livestream. The public is also invited to join the online programming. The agenda, along with speaker bios, and livestream can be found at uiu.edu/mlk2021.
