‘Holiday Chaos’ coming to Fayette Campus

The Upper Iowa University Recreation Center will host a bit of “Holiday Chaos” on Saturday, December 7. Children of all ages are invited to attend the free event from 1-3 p.m. at the Fayette Campus recreation center. The activities include a Reindeer Boot Camp obstacle course, an open gym, ornament and cookie decorating, and a letters to Santa station. All Santa letters will be taken to a local Macy’s store for special delivery to the North Pole. For each letter received, Macy’s is donating one dollar to Make-A-Wish® The public is also invited to share in the holiday spirit and help bring joy to area children by donating new unwrapped toys at the event.

Everyone is reminded, the Upper Iowa University Concert Choir Singers will also perform a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, in the UIU Student Center at Fayette Campus. The choir will perform a collection of modern and classical Christmas carols.

Those attending the free event can also visit the UIU Holiday Pop-Up Shop from 3 – 7 p.m. in the Student Center. Over 20 vendors will sell arts and crafts, unique gifts, antiques, apparel, food and other items to holiday shoppers. In addition to a special visit by Santa Claus from 6-7 p.m., children will also enjoy taking part in the cookie decoration station. The Campus Dining Servery, including its all-you-can-eat buffet, will be open for dinner from 5-7 p.m.
