‘Art for a Lifetime’ high school exhibit

An “Art for a Lifetime” reception and exhibition featuring the works of area high school students will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 14, at Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery in Fayette. The artists will participate in a weeklong studio art workshop at Upper Iowa University (UIU) before the event. Led by UIU art faculty, the workshop will encompass contemporary art making, artistic development and creating a portfolio.

Art for a Lifetime is funded in part by UIU and Northeast Iowa Community Foundation to bring studio art community education to Fayette and surrounding northeast Iowa communities. Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery is located in Edgar Fine Arts Hall at UIU’s Fayette Campus. The gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
