‘Art for a Lifetime’ exhibit opens May 16

An “Art for a Lifetime” art exhibition opens Thursday, May 16, at Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery in Fayette. The exhibition will showcase works created by the Art for a Lifetime adult community education classes taught during the 2018-19 Upper Iowa University (UIU) academic year, along with works created by Maple Crest Manor residents in Fayette.

Art for a Lifetime is funded in part by UIU and Northeast Iowa Community Foundation to bring studio art community education to Fayette and surrounding northeast Iowa communities.

The exhibit is scheduled to remain open through Friday, May 31. Artists’ receptions will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, May 16, at Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery. Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery is located in Edgar Fine Arts Hall at Upper Iowa University’s Fayette Campus. The gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
