Fayette Appreciation Day April 17

Fayette Appreciation Day has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 17. Volunteers will assist local organizations in completing their respective project requests from 8 a.m. to noon during the event. Note: There is no rain date scheduled this year.

Fayette Appreciation Day chairpersons (l-r) Hannah Dotter and Julia Szepieniec are among those leading the volunteer effort for Fayette Appreciation Day.

Since being established over a decade ago, over 4,500 UIU volunteers have completed more than 400 service projects throughout Fayette County during Fayette Appreciation Day. The event has been recognized locally and nationally, receiving awards from the State of Iowa Governor’s Service Awards and President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. In addition to 35-plus clubs and organizations participating on Fayette Campus this year, some academic classes will complete service learning projects as part of the annual event.
