Pete’s Haunted Hayride returns to Fayette Campus

Be prepared to be scared! Upper Iowa University invites you to Fayette Campus for the return of Pete’s Haunted Hayride, a thrilling tour of over 20 scare stations. The hayrides are open from 7 – 9 p.m. on Monday, October 30, and Tuesday, October 31. UIU does encourage those who dare to participate in the Haunted Hayride to show up no later than 8:15 p.m. each evening.

The haunted hayrides begin at East Victory Gate, located on Union Street across from Dorman Gym at UIU’s Fayette Campus. Cost is $3 for all ages and free to UIU students with a valid University ID. UIU’s Alumni Office and Office of Marketing and Communication will serve free ghostly goodies to people as they exit the hayride.

Scare stations are organized by a variety of UIU academic schools, clubs, organizations, teams and individual spook artists. Multiple hay racks allow for the rides to run continuously. The event is open to the public, but parents are cautioned that the hayrides may be scary for some children.

Advanced tickets are available for free to area youth organization coaches and leaders by contacting UIU Assistant Dean of Student Life Daryl Grove at 563-425-5209 or UIU Events Manager Megan Stammeyer at 563-425-5848. Anyone wishing to volunteer to assist with the event, may also contact UIU Coordinator of Student Activities Jake Bass at 563-425-5311 or Stammeyer.
