American Legion presents scholarship funding

Dennis Soppe (left), an alternate member of the American Legion National Executive Committee, presented a check in the amount of $2,000 to Upper Iowa University President William R. Duffy on Thursday, September 21. Upper Iowa applied for and received the funding, which will support two $1,000 scholarships for Iowa residents who are a veteran, spouse or dependent child of a veteran. The scholarships will be presented during the 2018 UIU Honors & Awards Banquet tentatively scheduled for April.
