UIU reaches CAP agreement with Edcor
Edcor employees, their clients and strategic partners, and family members will soon benefit from a newly established partnership with Upper Iowa University. As Corporate Advantage Partnership (CAP) program partners, qualifying members, their spouses and dependent children under the age of 26 receive set tuition grants for courses taken at any of Upper Iowa’s 25 U.S. educational centers or through UIU distance education programs. The application fee is also waived for all participants.
Founded in 1981, Edcor offers comprehensive education benefit outsourcing and consulting services. Its customizable solutions leverage technology and outstanding service to bring value to its clients. Edcor’s services include tuition assistance, student debt repayment assistance, certificate program administration, and education and training benefit consulting.
“Edcor looks forward to the increased educational opportunities Upper Iowa University can offer to our clients as part of our Preferred School Network,” said Adrienne Way, Edcor owner/CEO. “Their program makes it possible for working adults, the employees of our Fortune 1000 clients, to advance their education, continually upgrade their skills and achieve their education goals.”
UIU strives to meet student needs with convenient daytime, evening and online classes. Upper Iowa’s unique academic year consists of classes offered during six 8-week sessions. Students usually take two to three courses during most terms and still graduate on schedule. Online classes can also be added to allow a student to aggressively work toward a degree. Many students blend their degree plan by taking hybrid (both face-to-face and online) courses.
Other students get a jump on completion by easily transferring in up to 90 college credits from other schools. Up to 12 credits can also be transferred at the graduate level. Credits may also be earned through an individual’s work experience through an experiential learning portfolio or various college examinations.
“Upper Iowa University is extremely pleased that Edcor has chosen to be one of our 40-plus CAP program partners,” UIU Director of Business Development Tyler Walls said. “The Corporate Advantage Partnership program is a prime example of how Upper Iowa University continuously pursues ways to help learners of all ages achieve their educational dreams and career goals.”
UIU is a member of Edcor’s preferred school network. Other corporations interested in participating in UIU’s Corporate Advantage Partnership program should contact Tyler Walls by email at wallst99@uiu.edu.
