Fayette Appreciation Day volunteers needed

Upper Iowa University’s Peacocks for Progress is seeking volunteers to help complete community projects during the annual Fayette Appreciation Day scheduled for Wednesday, April 19. The volunteers will assist local organizations in completing their respective project requests from 8 a.m. to noon during the event. In the case of inclement weather, Fayette Appreciation Day will be rescheduled for Wednesday, April 26.

Since being established a decade ago, over 4,500 UIU volunteers have completed more than 400 service projects throughout Fayette County during Fayette Appreciation Day. The event has been recognized locally and nationally, receiving awards from the State of Iowa Governor’s Service Awards and President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
