Artists’ reception cancelled, exhibit opening postponed

Due to inclement weather, the Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery artists’ reception originally scheduled for Thursday, January 12, on the Upper Iowa University Fayette Campus has been cancelled. In addition, the opening of the “Make Play” exhibit has been postponed until Wednesday, January 18.

Laura Colby, Upper Iowa University assistant professor of art and Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery director, explained that the Tuesday, January, 10, winter storm forced featured Chicago graphic artists Anna Filbert and Lauren Meranda to cancel their original travel plans and delay setup of their exhibition.

“Make Play” will remain open at Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery Wednesday, January 18 – Friday, February 10. Bing-Davis Memorial Gallery is located in Edgar Fine Arts Hall at Upper Iowa University’s Fayette Campus. The gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
