November is National Career Development Month
In an effort to make students better aware of and assist them in career planning and life after college, the National Career Development Association and universities from across the nation celebrate National Career Development Month each November. This year, National Career Development Week is November 16-20, with National Career Development Day on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
The UIU Office of Career Development invites everyone to join them this month in meeting recruiters and/or attending the following scheduled events:
Employers on Campus (Student Center, lower level) – Army Reserves, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16; IowaWorks, 11 a.m. – 1p.m.: Monday, Nov. 23: TBD, American Income Life.
Career Benefits of Studying & Interning Abroad (in partnership w/Int’l Education Week) – OSD Conference Room, 4 – 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17.
Resume Workshops (Student Center Ballroom C) – Freshman or anyone without a cover letter or resume, 7-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, and Monday, Nov. 30; Advanced (bring resumes) 7:30 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, and Monday, Nov. 30.
Career Development in the Cove – Come see what resources Career Development can offer and have the opportunity to win prizes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on National Career Development Day Wednesday, Nov. 18.
