Five new members will be inducted into the Upper Iowa University Athletic Hall of Fame during Homecoming 2015. The Class of 2015 UIU Hall of Fame inductees are as follows:
Matt Boehm ’99; Management
- Two-time All-IIAC at linebacker
- First Team as a senior in 1997
- Second Team as a junior in 1996
- Played semipro football for two years (Cedar Rapids Truckers
in 1999 and Iowa Stars in 2000)
Jorge Borgen ’02; Education/Industrial Tech
- Three-time NCAA Division III National Qualifier
- NCAA Runner-up at 165 pounds in 2002 to earn All-American honors as a senior
- Two-year captain
- Selected to participate in Spirit of the Heartland (formerly
the Dan Gable Classic) and was coached by J. Robinson
Ken Bye ’65; Physical Education/Biology
- Four-time football letter winner – 1962-65
- Named to All-IIAC First Team in 1964 as a guard
- Named to NAIA District 15 First Team in 1964 as a guard
Chyanne Kleve ’05; Criminology
- Three-time, All-IIAC Second Team at third base (2001,
2002, 2003) - Two-time NFPCA All-Region in 2003 and 2004
- Two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District 2003 and 2004
- Two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2003 and 2004
- Posted season batting averages of .420, .392, .443 and .421 (freshman-senior)
Robert “Bob” Schulte ’65; Physical Education
- Four-time football letter winner – 1962-65
- Four-time wrestling letter winner – 1961-65
- Named to All-IIAC First Team in 1964 as a tackle
- Named to NAIA District 15 First Team in 1964 as a tackle
- Earned the IIAC heavyweight championship twice in 1962 and 1963
- Member of the 1964 IIAC co-champions
